FUNDRAISING COURSES

In 2008 we updated our ever-popular "A to Z of Fundraising" course and split it into two separate sessions, to better cater for different levels of fundraising experience.  Now called "Fundraising for Good" the course still provides a great grounding in the broad disciplines of fundraising.  Your workshop will be presented by one of two experienced presenters, Heather Newell or Dwyllis Brown.  (If numbers permit both presenters will present your workshop.)

"Fundraising For Good"

Session One

9am - 12noon

Be introduced to the tried and tested fundraising processes that give effective results. Find out how sustainable fundraising works. Your experienced presenter will share real world examples of how to make fundraising easier, more efficient, more profitable and more fun for you and your volunteers. Find out how to build relationships with people who care about your cause and how to keep their support from one year to the next.

This session is suitable for volunteers, board members, people interested in fundraising, new fundraisers or employees changing to a fundraising role.

Session Two

1pm - 4pm

In the afternoon focus on four important communication skills for your fundraising tool kit. It is most suitable for those who have completed the morning session or have an existing understanding of how fundraising works. This session will be quite interactive and provide the opportunity for small group and individual participation.

Learn how to:

  • Describe your cause in a way that will lead to donations
  • Write a great application for funding
  • Present a winning sponsorship proposal
  • Put together the elements of your fundraising plan to make it easy for your volunteers and your board to understand their roles

Both sessions include comprehensive handouts, current case studies and workbooks.
