COMMUNICATE FOR
FUNDRAISING SUCCESS
Ever wondered why the best fundraisers often have
a communications background? You will learn the key
communication skills that will improve your fundraising
out of sight!
Attend this full day workshop and you will learn:
Is fundraising a part of marketing or is marketing a function of fundraising?
A look at where the communication role fits within or around fundraising, job descriptions and how to manage the job when communications and fundraising are both mentioned in the job title.
What are the communication issues for fundraisers? From good proposals, preparing case statements, securing buy-in from board and management, through to accountability, reporting and brand building, fundraisers must be able to harness their best communication skills. You already know that fundraising must be about asking, asking and asking! And then thanking, thanking and thanking. But are you the best you can be in marketing, media, relationship building, motivating, brand building and sponsorship?
For any fundraiser, improved communication skills will improve their effectiveness and help their career progression.
On this course we will take you through a range of communication skills including:
- Media communications (to raise awareness of your cause)
- Direct mail (to build relationships and seek donations from supporters)
- Presentation skills (to present your case to sponsors and funders)
- Preparing and presenting an elevator pitch (your case statement)
- Proposal writing (to show your business knowledge)
- Strategies for web based communications
- Marketing and branding (to increase the value of assets)
PLUS!!!
